United Workers of Harris Center
We are forming a union at Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD!
Our Union Mission Statement:
We, the employees of The Harris Center, resolve to form a union in order to establish a unified voice to represent common interests to promote fair and equal treatment, promote integrity, dignity and respect for all staff who are employed.
We have the right to transparency from our management, and a voice when it comes to decision making regarding a fair compensation package, workload, safety, and operating procedures.
We are committed to providing high quality service to our community. In order for this to happen, the workers must have an equal voice at the table with management in making decisions for the agency. When all workers have an equal voice, we enrich our agency with a diversity of perspectives, knowledge, and skill sets that will produce a rewarding work environment, reduce burnout and turnover, and increase the quality of care we provide to the community.
Sign on to our Mission Statement and join our movement for a REAL voice at Harris Center!
We are calling on the Harris Center Board of Trustees to adopt our proposed Consultation Policy to give our union official status and a seat at the table!
We are also calling on the Board to find the money to provide a much-needed 7% cost of living raise to all Harris Center employees!
